Job Description:

Position Description: The Tourism Information Officer will assist with planning, developing and implementing Tourism programs for the Brock Board of Trade and local area business stakeholders. The position may require some flexibility in hours due to events or other job-related meetings, but the hours will not exceed 30 per week. Must be comfortable welcoming visitors/tourists to the Tourism Office located in Beaverton and discussing summer activities/events in Brock Township with them.
The successful candidate must match the following employment criteria:
.Minimum 17 years of age
.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
.Was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year.
.Intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
.Is a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program.

$15.60 – $16.55/hour in compliance with Ontario’s minimum wage rates, 30 hours per week

.Organize and stock tourism information.
.Support Brock Board of Trade marketing and communication efforts.
.Attend tourism-related events where appropriate.
.Provide additional administrative support to the Brock Board of Trade where needed.
