Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Activities:
- Communicate clearly and effectively with volunteers and staff
- Ensure that cash area is clean, clear and meets safety standards
- Work with the store front assistant to assess the cash area needs and to identify areas for improvement on an ongoing basis
- Resolve any customers issues or concerns that may arise while ensuring customer satisfaction
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience with retail sales and POS system.
Knowledge
The Cashier must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge of store policies and procedures
- Knowledge of non-profits/volunteer organizations would be beneficial
Skills
The Cashier must demonstrate the following skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task; work in a fast-paced environment with grace and good humor
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Be organized and neat
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; be able to solve problems with good judgment and make decisions independently
- Effective verbal, written and listening communications ski
