Job Description:

Position Overview: Brightstar Law is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Real Estate Law Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a crucial support for our senior clerks and lawyers, contributing to the efficient handling of real estate transactions and ensuring smooth operations. Our firm is well-regarded for prompt and friendly communication, meticulous attention to detail, and guiding clients through transactions with clarity.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of real estate law from an experienced and cohesive team. Essential qualities include attention to detail, a drive for personal and professional growth, and a collaborative spirit.

Our team currently consists of one lawyer, two real estate law clerks, one bookkeeper, one receptionist, and one legal assistant. The chosen candidate will initially work closely with our senior law clerk, gradually transitioning to independent work as they gain experience.

Our downtown Toronto office offers the flexibility of remote work, with a preference for candidates who can attend the office when needed.


Facilitate real estate transactions through effective and friendly communication with clients and stakeholders.

Assist in due diligence by conducting title and off title searches.

Draft legal documents under the guidance of senior law clerks and lawyers.

Maintain organized and up-to-date files, ensuring accessibility of all necessary documentation.

Handle administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, calendar management, and responding to client inquiries.
