The Sunflower Farm is Ontario’s first and only sunflower-shaped sunflower farm and a growing
family agri-tourism business. Every summer, The Sunflower Farm welcomes visitors to share in the
beauty of our farm. Our goal at The Sunflower Farm is to become Ontario’s most beloved sunflower
farm that inspires through unique and educational agricultural experiences. We encourage visitors
to support local businesses that supply socio-conscious and environmental products with the desire
to connect back to nature. The Sunflower Farm Team is a group of inspired, innovative and engaged
individuals who share our goal and know how to enjoy every working hour on the farm while taking
pride in their work.

Who You Are
You are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of The Farm Team. You work
closely with them to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and that their
operations align with our mission and values. Your day-to-day tasks include assigning tasks to team
members, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and feedback to ensure that all work is
completed to the highest standards. You are a skilled communicator, collaborator, and work closely
with The Farm Team to build a positive and productive work environment. You are always looking for
ways to improve processes and procedures. You are able to work under pressure and deliver on tight
deadlines, while still maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Overall, you
are committed to ensuring that The Sunflower Farm operates smoothly and efficiently, and that our
team members have the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
– Assigning tasks to team members and monitoring progress to ensure that work is completed on time and to the highest standards
– Providing guidance and feedback to team members to support their development and ensure their success
– Collaborating with other farm departments to ensure that all operations are aligned with our mission and values
– Maintaining a safe and productive work environment for all team members
– Managing inventory levels of supplies and merchandise
– Providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and clients
– Facilitating opening and closing procedures at all farm stations
– Event preparation, management and execution of special evening events

Qualifications
– The ideal candidate is completing or has graduated from post-secondary education. Depending on your skills, education is not our first consideration. We will consider applicants of all education levels.
– Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
– Allergies: applicants must not be allergic to pollen.
– Customer service experience is mandatory.
– Public speaking, acting, or tour guide experience is a valuable asset.
– Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
– Event management experience is considered an asset.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
– Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions – majority of the time it will be hot, humid outdoor working conditions.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
– Strong organizational skills.
– Strong ability to remain calm and flexible under stressful situations.
– Agricultural experience OR an understanding of nature, plants, and being outdoors.
– Driving experience is not a requirement but an additional asset.

The Fine Print
– Hours expectation: ranging from 30 to 35 hours per week, including weekends. You will be expected to work weekends and 2 days during the long weekend.
– Applicants must be available from mid/late July until the September long weekend – this is approximate as open date and closing date will depend on the sunflower bloom.
– Please note the location of the farm before applying.
– Salary: $18-$23/hour based on experience
