Job Description:
Orthodontic specialty office and general dental office are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental teams. This position will include hours at both locations, including but not limited to, providing specialty orthodontic care and regular hygiene care. Orthodontic experience is not necessary. Starting wage is between $45.00 and $60.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Duties
Perform orthodontic duties to assist the orthodontist
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Assist with patient assessments and record keeping using Tracker or similar dental management software
Support the dental team during procedures, including sterilization of instruments and preparation of treatment rooms
Manage patient inquiries and ensure a positive, comfortable experience
Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning
Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and infection control protocols
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Experience with tracker management software is preferred
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is a plus
Previous experience in orthodontics or working in a dental office environment is beneficial, but not necessary
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry is advantageous
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care
