Custodian B-227

Job title: Custodian B-227
Posted on: May 15, 2023
Job Description:

This is primarily a day position with the possibility of periodic evening or week-end hours as mutually agreed upon.
Simple Duties will focus on the cleanliness and maintenance of the Bethesda House Outreach building and the property surrounding it, as well as the property surrounding the shelter. Ongoing, day-to-day tasks will include but not be limited to such assignments as lawn and garden care, simple Dyi projects, cleaning tasks inside and out, and maintenance of safe living and working conditions, etc.

The person in this position will be playing a very important role on the Bethesda House team. The agency’s mandate is to provide safe, secure shelter and community-based supports to women, youth and children who are leaving violence and abuse in their lives. When accessing our services, they are typically at a very low, if not the lowest point in their lives. Having a safe, clean, well-cared for place to come for service and support makes the transition a little brighter for them. The student taking ownership for this position will have the satisfaction of playing an integral role in this.

This position will be starting immediately.
