Job Description:
RATE OF PAY: $29.25 – $40+ per hour, depending on qualifications
HOURS PER WEEK: Approx 25 – 40 hours per week (Schedule: Monday to Friday, day and night shifts, occasional overtime weekends)
JOB OVERVIEW: **Apprenticeship and Training can be provided by Daly/Local 506 (Union)** (Experience is an asset but not necessary to apply)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Load and unload materials and equipment into trucks
Painting/Marking up concrete
Removal of concrete from the job site
Stand on the ladder to catch concrete cores
Clean up the job site, remove waste
Learning how to operate and be certified using tools such as: Ground Penetrating Radar
Core Drills (1″ – 24″ Bits) Floor/Wall Saws (12″ – 48″ Blades)
QUALIFICATIONS:
At Least 1 year experience in construction is an asset
Concrete GPR experience is considered an asset
Core Drilling/Saw Cutting experience is considered an asset
Ability to move up within the company if job performance exceeds expectations
Valid G 1 Driver’s License, with clean driving record
Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Courtice, On
WSIB, First Aid, and Working At Heights ticket are considered an asset
Must be willing to travel to multiple sites in a day
Able to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 75+ pounds.
Able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, and reach.
Able to stand for extended periods
Able to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures, dusty conditions, and inclement weather.

Active listening and respectful attitude
Reliable and punctual
Able to follow instructions
Able to work individually as well as part of a team
