Position Summary:
Ainsworth is looking for an experienced G1/OBT1 Combustion Technician to join our Boiler Service team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform seasonal maintenance on a wide variety of hot water and steam heating systems in the industrial and institutional sectors.
- Startup/Commissioning experience on wide variety of hot water/steam applications
- Train/mentor junior mechanics
- System diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Test combustion equipment and controls for issues
- Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical and mechanical testing equipment
- Replace defective parts and reassemble repaired systems
- Observe and test system operation using gauges and test instruments and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe and reliable system operations
- Estimate, order and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition
- Keep accurate records of repairs and replacements made and cause of malfunctions
Qualifications:
- G1 Gas Technician license
- OBT1 (preferred) or OBT2 with ability to acquire your OBT1 designation
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical and electrical skills
- Team Player; excellent oral and written communication skills; client focus; dependable; reliable; flexible.
