Job Description:

The Tax and Revenue Administrator (“Administrator”) is responsible for all general administration of Municipal property taxes and general revenues.  The position also provides support for the Manager, for water and wastewater revenue administration, and Finance customer service.

Field of Work: Office/Clerical
Required skills:

-University or College Program in Accounting or related field
-Municipal Tax Administration Program completed
-Three or more years of revenue work experience, including 2 years Property Taxation.
-Knowledge of Provincial legislation (E.g. Municipal Act, Assessment Act).
-Knowledge of HST application rules, including Municipal specific situations.
-Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, finance procedures, and internal controls.
-Great Plains financial software and CityWide Budget and Reporting Software experience would be an asset.
-Experience using Ontario Property Tax Analysis System (Ministry of Finance)
-Experience using Municipal Connect system (MPAC)
