Job Description:

This position will be under direction of the Site Supervisors, Project Managers and General Managers:
– Safe use and driving of company cargo vans, trucks or other road vehicles necessary for delivering materials and supplies to the construction sites as well as picking up garbage and disposing at predetermined dump sites the company has accounts set up with.
– Company cargo van to be provided along with fleet gas cards.
– The prospective employee will be expected to park the company vehicle at your own residence when off duty.
Self motivated, team player, physically fit, able bodied, Willing to work outdoors and Indoors as needed
Safety conscious, ability to work at heights and perform all tasks safely.
Understanding of electrical safety
Skilled, trained and willing to continue training in order to operate equipment and tools
Proficient with hand and power tools. Maintains own supply of common hand tools.
Performing selective construction activities of the project site as needed, and aligned with the prospective employee’s skill set, such as:
Site maintenance and cleaning. Pick up and deliveries as needed
Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas
Assisting in demolishing buildings
Installing and removing scaffolding, ramps, and barricades at construction sites
Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, granular stone, asphalt
Levelling earth to fine grade specifications using rakes and shovels
Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
Small and medium sized equipment operations (skidsteers, mini-excavators, elevated and aerial lift platforms)
Patchwork of floors, concrete, drywall, painting, caulking
Operating pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers
Cleaning up spills or other contaminants, and removing from site safely
Installation of doors, hardware, shelving, accessories, fixtures, equipment
Directing traffic at or near construction sites
Maintain site job boxes, material inventories, site safety supplies.
Maintains a mentor/mentee relationship with site management.
Proactive with construction industry training.
Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical aspects, blueprints and specifications is an asset for career growth.
Communicate with Project Management Team on a regular basis. Help problem solve variety of site issues
Other duties, within reason as required by management.
Notes:
This position will require the individual to work independently while driving to and from various locations (suppliers, garbage dumps, projects and other). Most of our projects will have our staff on site during the project’s work schedule with some minor exceptions.
The prospective employee must be willing to provide a criminal background check upon request.
The prospective employee must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

• Has obtained basic industry training via on-the-job, or equivalent
• 3yrs of experience either working on construction site and physically performing activities.
• Experience in any construction trade is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
• Good attitude and willingness to learn

All of our employees work remotely as well.
The position does require many hours of driving throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. We perform work on projects from Belleville to London, to Niagara Falls and Barrie.
