We are currently seeking a Farm Worker on behalf of our well-reputed Peony Farm client in Oshawa.
This position is partially funded by the Government of Canada Youth Employment Skills & Strategy program and is open only to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residence, and Protected Refugees between the age of 15 to 30; PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE an International Student or on a Work Permit as you will not be eligible.

Job Description:
Do you have a strong interest in horticulture and a desire to learn and develop your skills in peony farming operations? Our family-owned peony garden offers an exciting opportunity to work with a beautiful and sustainable crop, while gaining valuable experience in botany and landscaping. Many of our employees have shared how working at our garden has increased their knowledge and appreciation of the natural world, as well as given them a healthy and physically active lifestyle.

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Farm Worker, you will assist in all aspects of peony farming, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and preparing peonies for sale. You will also have the opportunity to perform general maintenance tasks, such as cultivating soil, weed control, and fixing fences, as well as taking care of the farm under our guidance. We will provide all necessary training and guidance, and you will have the opportunity to work mostly independently. (Day shift; 7 hour shift)

Required skills:

· Ability to work outdoors.
· Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.
· Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
· Chinese speaking is preferred.
