Summary of Business:

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Set up and operation of various injection moulding machines
• Working With thermoplastic, thermoset, and various types of rubber
• Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring instruments
• Ensures that all documentation requirements are met i.e. S.P.C, Precision records
• Monitors deadlines according to production schedule. Sets up and operates machine(s), focusing on quality while maximizing efficiency
• Assume ownership of jobs from start to finish
• Read and work from complex engineering drawings
• Minor cleaning, core pin changes, and repair of moulds
• Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding reports for conformance to specifications
• Ensures that all moulding tasks are completed by specified run times
• Ability to set up and operate another machine tool during controlled machining cycles.
• Ensures accuracy of parts prior to leaving the workstation
• Deburr/delegate parts if necessary
• Make recommendations for productivity and method improvements
• Notifies Supervisor of discrepancies
• Works with moulding supervisor, tool room, and inspection.
• Responsible for training and monitoring operators
• Maintains superior housekeeping of machine, work area, and plant facilities

• 5 years moulding and set-up experience
• Strong mathematical background
• Strong knowledge of inspection equipment
• Knowledge of basic measuring instruments
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Self-motivation
• High School diploma
• Blueprint reading
Desired:
• Knowledge of thermoset moulding definitely an asset
