Wage and Employment Length: approximately $20.00 hourly rate at 44 hours per week, year round

Main Functions: 

Perform the day to day maintenance and upkeep of all machinery

Assist in completing tasks that will be outlined by the Supervisor

Duties:

–       Maintains a preventive maintenance program for all turf equipment and utility carts while working within the allocated budget. Golf carts are leased and serviced off site

–       Troubleshoots, prioritizes and repairs equipment breakdowns

–       Maintains all cutting units and ensures effective quality of cut and mowing heights on a daily basis

–       Maintains detailed records of service, repair costs and parts inventory for all pieces of equipment

–       Upkeep of repair shop and equipment storage including management of all hazardous waste

–       On course inspection of equipment

–       Involved with training of employees on preventive maintenance, proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment

–       Communicates effectively with superintendent to ensure equipment is serviced and ready for use when required

Working Conditions:

Full time Seasonal work on property in various weather conditions and working in maintenance building

Work schedules are organized by the Superintendent/Supervisor

Employment Requirements and Qualifications:

Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license

Must be available for early mornings and some weekends if necessary. 

Ability to work alone or in a group settings on multiple properties

Previous experience in the golf industry as an equipment manager or technician is an asset but not required

Small engines certificate an asset

Working knowledge of the theory, care, operation and repair of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.

Knowledge of reel grinding and precise mower set up and adjustments
