Job Description:

Review and ensure the effectiveness of day-to-day functions of Human Resources as an
independent contributor to start including recruitment and selection, training,
management, and employee relations.
 Manage to advertise, recruit, and onboard etc. for alternate position types
 Ensure efficient talent acquisition strategies and processes are in place to attract
talented individuals to the organization
 Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions that open up with VCare 247
 Manage multiple job requisitions, with excellent evaluation skills
 Post positions, screen resumes
 Conduct initial screening interviews on the telephone or on MS Team
 Engage with the Operations Manager regularly to update status of recruits
 Initiate verbal offers and coordinate background checks through third party vendor
 Make offers of employment and initiate the on-boarding process
 Create talent pipelines with high-potential candidates for future job opportunities
 Source new applicants, using pre-employment screening and assessment tools to
reduce both time-to-hire and turnover
 Assist the Management/Operations team and Department Heads with a variety of areas,
 Assist management in discipline matters and employee counseling.
 Create and administer employee contracts, compensation and or adjustments, and onboarding/
off-boarding of employees.
 Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and
recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
 Provide timely reporting on all relevant metrics to include turnover, headcount, employee
relations data
 Work on several special projects supporting the strategic business unit
 Organize, plan, and execute HR-related webinars for staff and clients
 Performs other duties as assigned

Required skills:

A University Degree or College Diploma, preferably in specializing in Human Resources
and Business Administration, or equivalent
 Minimum of 2 years of experience /thorough knowledge of labour relations practices and
legal requirements in unionized environments
 Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Knowledge of federal and provincial laws, employment laws, and regulations
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Advanced proficiency level in Word and Excel
 Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
 Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
 Proven work experience as a Corporate Recruiter working with Health Care agency is
considered an asset
 Experience with various interview formats, including phone screening calls, in-person
interviews and group interviews
 Experience evaluating candidates for various roles and seniority levels
 Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act 2000
 Ability to create and maintain relationships with colleges and job agencies.
 Ability to adjust recruitment sourcing methods and recruitment strategies as necessary
to ensure a continuous flow of resumes.
