Job Description:

Installation of cable and wireless network infrastructure as well as cable drops and modems.
Troubleshooting and repairing basic to intermediate issues with customer equipment and networks.
Provide professional and effective onsite maintenance of equipment at customer homes and tower sites.
Fibre optic installations and maintenance.
Will be required to work on your own outside throughout the year, including temperature differentiation and precipitation.
Local travel to customer homes and tower sites in company vehicle.
Working with computers and operating diagnostic equipment, vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
Understand and adhere to all policies and standards (OHSA and company policies).
Communicate closely with the support team in a fast-paced environment.
Provide exceptional service to customers.
Appropriately document completed service calls and installations through web-based applications

Required skills:

High school diploma, or equivalent.
Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing cable and wireless networks is a plus.
Strong technical capabilities and knowledge of computers/networking.
Basic knowledge of rigging and knots.
Valid G class licence and clean drivers abstract.
Transportation to and from the office.
Ability to identify different colours and learn colour codes.
Comfortable working at heights of up to 300ft, on ladders, roofs, and towers.
Working at Heights/Fall Arrest training. Will be provided by company.
Climb ladders/towers, stand for extended periods of time, and lift and carry over 60lbs.
Ability to use cell phone (for GPS, ticketing, and contact purposes).
Provide some PPE and basic tools - hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, reflective wear, drills, wrenches, hammers, etc. Some required tools will be provided.
Strong customer service, technical ability, organization skills, and problem-solving skills.
Must be flexible with working hours. Possibility of evening and weekend work, with on-call rotation.
