Job Description:

Social Media

· Maintain all TNDF social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked-in, YouTube, and TikTok), including the accounts for our Women’s Services division
· Ensure social media content adheres to the communications strategy and branding guidelines
· Ensure the effective distribution of social media posts, “boosting” posts as necessary within budget
· Write captions and schedule posts with graphics provided by the Creative Media Coordinator and written content provided by staff for their respective programs
· Respond to comments and messages, asking relevant staff members for support in crafting a response that best represents their program(s)
· React to, comment on, and share content from other local accounts or accounts from other organizations within the field
· Manage TNDF owned Facebook groups
· Alongside the Creative Media Coordinator, establish and monitor performance metrics to understand successes and challenges of digital outreach efforts
Support sister organizations (Thrift Hub, Commons Farm, etc.) with their social media accounts as requested/able without compromising TNDF’s online presence and analytics

Content Creation

· Ensure that all content created is as accessible as possible
· Support the Creative Media Coordinator by reviewing and editing content for spelling and grammar
· Work with the TNDF team to take photos and videos, editing them for publication through programs such as Pantry Clips, Table Talks, etc.
· Update templated graphics provided by the Creative Media Coordinator

General Duties

· Alongside the TNDF team, especially the Creative Media Coordinator, update our communications strategy (including a branding package and social media plan)
· Support the Creative Media Coordinator with regular maintainence of the TNDF website (e.g., keep community calendar up to date, post blogs, etc.)
· Research SEO keywords to use throughout our website and digital marketing materials
· Conduct research on industry and local media trends
· Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective community partners for TNDF, including schools, businesses, non-profits, clubs/groups, and individuals
· Communicate often with other staff members, fostering a team environment
· Participate in TNDF community events (i.e., Night Market, fundraisers, etc.)
· Perform other related errands and duties as directed (within a 60 km radius of Cannington)

$35100 – $39000 Salary

Required skills:

Minimum qualifications and experience
· A positive energy and a willingness to try new things
· Working knowledge of cameras
· Experience with social media and software for video and photo editing
· Knowledge of the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
· Experience with WordPress is an asset
· Strong communication skills, especially written skills
· Reliable, with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· A familiarity with Brock Township, Durham Region, and/or rural communities is an asset
