Job Description:

Blue Willows Group provides Financial, HR and Administrative business services to a variety of industries.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Bookkeeper assists with business expenses and revenue, daily activities, and monthly financial reporting for multiple companies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and related schedules for all bank accounts.
• Prepare quarterly remittances for sales taxes (GST/HST/QST)
• Proficient with income statements and balance sheets
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process, including updating accruals, prepaids, depreciation, etc.
• Facilitate daily banking activities such as setting up wire payments/EFT to vendors, updating pre-authorized payments, preparing cheque runs and completing bank deposits.
• Recording payments for accounts payable in QuickBooks Online
• Generation and issuing of invoices through QuickBooks Online
• Lead administrator to move our offices to a paperless environment

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• Minimum 4 – 6 years on the job experience with a Degree or Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, accuracy, discretion and confidentiality
• Strong computer skills including QuickBooks, OneDrive, Adobe, and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Comfortable working with multiple companies in a variety of industries
• Ability to work on a team and independently

Although there are times when this job can be done remotely, the expectation is the candidate is within commuting distance to Cannington and will work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
