Job Description:
Accounts
• Post all cheques and deposits to bookkeeping software (Quickbooks) in a timely manner
• Reconcile account statements once available through Online Banking
• Prepare cheques to pay accounts payable for signature by signing officers
• Take deposits to the financial institution for processing
• Issue receipts for monies received
Payroll
• Prepare payroll via QuickBooks online on a bi-weekly basis
• Submit payroll remittance monthly
• Prepare Record of Employment documents as needed
Reporting
• Prepare monthly financial report for the Executive Director
• Prepare reports to Government agencies: Payroll, GST return, T4’s, T4A’s, Workers Compensation Report
Office Support
• Collect mail from post office
• Communicate with staff and answer questions as necessary
Other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

• 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a non-profit environment
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Competent in the use of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office software
• Happy to pitch in and help out with other tasks as necessary
